About SerenityView Alpaca Stud
SerenityView Alpaca Stud is owned and run by Michelle and Kim Oates. In recent years we made a tree change from a beach side suburb to small acreage.
Kim’s background is in wide area computer networks. In March 2008 Kim decided to leave this field and devote more time to the alpaca business. Michelle is a secondary school teacher as well as being involved in the husbandry and showing of the alpacas and taking responsibility for the business records (thank God for Optimate!). Michelle also has an interest in poultry, dogs and her vegie garden.
Kim and Michelle have three adult children and two grand daughters. Daughters Melanie and Krystal both assist with business details. Their accountancy expertise is of a great help at tax time. Son Peter is able to offer assistance with feeding and care of animals if we need to be away for any length of time. Our eldest grandaughter Jasmine loves our alpacas and was a junior handler at the Royal Hobart show in 2008, gaining a second place ribbon, much to her delight.

We are able to offer layby terms and ongoing after sales support for our alpacas.
